Natural Beauty

When it comes to true beauty most of us would agree that beauty radiates from within. But what does that really mean? Obviously some individuals are more genetically blessed than others when it comes to outward appearances. All of the serums, creams, and cosmetics in the world cannot make up for that. On the flip side, cosmetic enhancement does not cover-up the personality flaws that often find themselves up front and center despite a beautiful façade. All of this aside, natural beauty begins with taking care of yourself inside and out. We strive to feed our internal bodies natural, pesticide-free, whole foods – it is time to do the same with our external bodies.

Traditional, conventional skin care products and cosmetics are often laden with fillers, irritants and chemicals that can do more damage than good. Truly natural skin care products are generally made from natural or organic ingredients, minimal additives, and leave your body feeling nourished from the outside in. That isn’t to say that natural products can’t also be irritating to certain individuals and skin types – we always recommend testing a product, if possible, before purchasing a full size.

Here are some things to look for in the latest of natural beauty products:
1. Antioxidant-rich pomegranate
2. Hyaluronic acid (wrinkle reducing)
3. Goji berry (collagen boosting)
4. Shea butter (soothing and hydrating)
5. Vitamins A, C & E
6. Lavender, Rose, Chamomile (soothing and balancing)
7. Coconut Oil (topical and internal)
8. Pycnogenol (antioxidant)
9. Cucumber (soothing, anti-inflammatory)
10. Rosemary (anitoxidant, great for hair)
11. Calendula (wound healing)
12. Horse chestnut (varicose veins – cools and tones)
