CSA Bounty
We are so excited to be part of a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) group that delivers local, organic vegetables, fruit, and fresh eggs (notice the two lovely blue eggs we received) to our neighborhood. CSA’s are spreading across the country, typically selling “shares” (aka memberships) to the public. Shares usually consist of a certain size box of vegetables, determined by the size of your family. Our CSA has three different choices – single, couple or family-size shares, and the box size reflects those shares.
Each week through the growing season we will receive seasonal produce. It is so much fun opening the “box” every week and seeing what new veggies may have appeared. We intend to visit the farm before the end of the season so that we get the opportunity to meet and know the people who are growing our food! We also will be sharing our fun creations here with you on the blog!
