There are great reasons to be mindful at mealtime. I love to eat and I love to eat well. Join me by setting your intentions in the grocery store and in the kitchen. Look for foods that are fresh, colorful, and local whenever possible. Choose to eat foods that support your health and wellness. Individuals who dine daily on fruits, veggies, wild fish, legumes, nuts, and whole grains are far less likely to report feeling depressed than those who eat processed foods, frequent sweets, and high-fat fare.
Summer is an ideal time to practice mindful eating. Fresh fruits and vegetables are plentiful. Fill your head with positive thoughts, and fill your belly with food that supports your higher vision of yourself. Know that as you nurture yourself from within, you nurture your greater self and you model a life well lived and well intentioned.
I trust you’ll enjoy meeting our wellness warriors, Tom and Dawn Terwilliger. True visionaries and inspirational leaders, the Terwilligers have a lot to teach us about perseverance and living a life on fire with purpose.
May your summer days be abundant and blessed. Keep a stash of natural sun protection handy, stay well hydrated, and know that we appreciate all of your support and feedback.
Live well, live your best.
