Be the Change Agent
“All meaningful and lasting change starts first in your imagination and then works its way out. Imagination is more important than knowledge.”
~ Albert Einstein
I am a big fan of change. Change has happened in my life, whether I was fighting it or praying for it, change happened. If I had not decided to change everything in my life nearly 30 years ago I know that my life would be mostly painful as I was living less than my potential. Look at your life over the last several years and notice the great ways in which you have changed, grown and become more alive. The beauty of gaining wisdom (aging) can be that as you wake up to embrace change rather than fearing or fighting it you can enjoy a primary tenet of health, happiness and longevity.
Einstein said that he found peace and happiness by knowing that he lived in a friendly Universe. What do you believe about the Universe? Is it conspiring for you, always urging your best?! Consider change as an opportunity for transformation; the growth of your mind and body.
Researchers found that there are certain positive attributes that all successful “change agents” know and embrace:
- A positive belief about change, and a belief that change happens only to enrich life experience. What area in your life could be enriched through believing and pursuing change? Consider how changing an old self-defeating habit into a positive affirmative ritual of loving self care may change your life.
- See change as an opportunity to bring more positivity, growth and self-discovery. What in your life is stale and no longer serves and supports your truth? See how change can enliven an upgrade to your present experience and usher in vital awakening and an opportunity to step into your true nature.
- Surround yourself in a supportive environment. Before I embraced my adventure in change, I hung out with other “stuck beings” who set their course for status quo with fixed excuse making and dogged desire for the same. Is your present cohort going for greatness? How can you step up, model and serve your tribe who is hungry for change? Time to rally the masses!
- You are connected to something bigger then yourself. Desire change as a way to serve the greatest good! Get your courage on and be the change by doing daily belief boosters such as eating whole and healthy foods, exercising with gratitude and immersing yourself in spiritual community and practice.
See change as an opportunity to feel the butterflies, embrace the awkwardness and tip toe or leap through the fear. Know that your change is what the Universe desires. Your perfect evolution is why you are here!
