After tasting this you will never want to use boxed almond milk again. You could make it without planning ahead, but we like to soak the almonds or hazelnuts for about 8 hours prior to making the milk – it makes it that much creamier and slightly less bitter – plus it makes it more digestible.

It’s hot outside and the vegetables are wonderfully abundant. We love the simplicity of grilled veggies – they make an awesome side-dish to any meal or can become the star of a breakfast omelet or frittata. Sweet Cherry Smoothie

1 cup sweet cherries, pitted
1 cup nonfat milk
1/2 medium banana
1/4 cup nonfat Greek-style yogurt
1 scoop whey protein powder
ice cubes, to desired consistency
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
Per Serving: 271 Calories; 2g Fat (1g SAT); 17g Protein; 50g Carbohydrate; 4g Dietary Fiber; 5mg Cholesterol; 153mg Sodium.

Blue Corn Cakes (gluten free)

Combine cornmeal through pepper in one bowl and set aside. In separate bowl combine butter through jack cheese and whisk these wet ingredients together to combine. Add the dry ingredients to the wet and then stir in the pine nuts.
